What if what you're going through isn't a crisis, but a transition?
What if this malaise, this trigger, this overflow... heralded a new relationship with the world?
What if you weren't alone?
For 3 years, Benoit Marienval and Anastasia Dereppe travelled thousands of kilometres (without a plane) in Eurasia, collecting and analysing over 100 life stories and meeting people who have changed everything: their lifestyle, their job, their relationship with life, with others and with themselves.
Some have quit their jobs, others have started collectives, moved to a new town, joined a cooperative, or simply stopped doing things “like everyone else” in order to get involved, meet their impetus and rediscover their enthusiasm.
This research programme has given rise to a model: that of the two hills.
It's a 4-stage journey that those who are moving towards a more aligned, fairer and greener life are following - sometimes without realising it.
This conference is a plunge into their stories.
It's a sensitive exploration of research, stories and emotions.
It's also an invitation to ask yourself: where am I on this map?
ON THE PROGRAM
Inspiring, concrete, powerful portraits
The two hills model: 4 phases to understand individual ecological shifts
Collective storytelling and tools for moving forward
A collection of your feelings, experiences and forks in the road (because the research continues)
PUBLIC
Those who have already made a change
Those who feel that something is moving
Those who are accompanying loved ones on this journey
Challenge: bring along a curious +1. It's sure to speak to them and help them better understand what you're going through.
This is not a conference on ecology.
It's a conference about life.

🎤 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS INTERVENTION
How long does your event last?
It can last between 45 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the desired format. In general, we suggest 45 minutes of presentation + 30 to 60 minutes of discussion. We can adapt.
Who is the target audience?
All audiences. No prior knowledge is required. The presentation is rigorous but accessible, lively and illustrated with stories, visuals and case studies.
What exactly will you be talking about?
Our research into individual ecological tipping points conducted over 2 years in Eurasia (100 interviews), our low-carbon journey, the two hills model, the informal community of tippers, and our approach to linking the arts, science and society. We're sharing the results, the stories and the big questions it raises.
What equipment do you need?
A screen or video projector, and ideally a microphone if the room is large.
How many people can come?
There's no limit if the venue is equipped. We can also accommodate smaller, more intimate events. We'll probably cancel if there are fewer than 10 participants.
Is it remunerated?
We are asking the public to participate freely and knowingly. If the venue can offer any support (logistics, meals, hospitality, expenses or a fee), that's welcome, as we're an independent, self-financing project - but it's not a hindrance to the organisation.
Do you have a brochure or flyer to distribute?
Yes, here's the communication kit.
