MANIFESTO
In recent centuries and particularly in recent decades, human societies have reached an unprecedented level of transformation of natural ecosystems. A plethora of economic, social and environmental indicators show that the dominant human development model is running out of steam.
The advent of industrial revolutions and the globalized economy gave rise to The Great Acceleration - the critical threshold of the Anthropocene, an unprecedented planetary disorder where human activities become the main force of change on Earth, surpassing geophysical forces.
The successive crossing of 6 planetary limits, the incessant alerts of scientists and the dazzling quest for meaning in Western countries are major signals of major ecological changes.
Systemic changes are necessary to support them, and not suffer them like successive crises. This is not limited to technical and pragmatic issues; but invites us to rethink values, cultures, the economy, education and models of success.
Meeting pioneers who have decided to radically change their development model and life path, the Kosmogonia research program wishes to contribute to a better understanding of this great change.
The Kosmogonia research programme aims to build bridges between science and society. Between social science research and militant, radical action on the ground.
The 21st century is subject to a major risk, where science could be discredited by private interests, industrial interests, the media, fake news and cynicism, as we have seen over the last few decades with tobacco, fossil fuels and chemical fertilisers. where science has been manipulated and studies directed to generate doubts.
It is essential to support ecological and social decisions to take place at all levels, on the basis of strong and credible research. Kosmogonia's ambition is to contribute to this.
PROJECT STAGES
CHAPTER 1 - PROJECT DESIGN
January 2022 - September 2022
We have been working since the beginning of 2022 on the definition and framing of the research project, the intention of the project as well as on the writing, training in shooting, the development of our ecosystem and the establishment of the financing plan... At the same time, we continue to give courses in higher education establishments and provide training in companies on ecological issues.
All this while living third-time in the heart of an experimental eco-place for transitions: the Joigny Caserne Bascule.
CHAPTER 2 - EUROPE
September 2022 - October 2023
We travelled exclusively by train and bike, we naturally decided to start our exploration in France, in order to establish the basis of our research project, carry out the first field tests and confront ourselves with roaming in order to best adjust our equipment and pace for the future.

CHAPTER 3 - ROAMING IN EUROPE TO ASIA
November 2023 - June 2024
We swap our bicycle equipment for a backpack to start our great international itinerant which starts in England with an immersion at Schumacher College. Then we will gradually leave for China, passing through Hungary (1.5 months), Romania, Turkey (2 months), Georgia and Kazakhstan.

CHAPTER 3 - ASIA
July 2024 - September 2025
Our passage in Asia will highlight valuable contrasts with the countries encountered previously. New perspectives and cultures to refine the research work and complete our collection of stories in order to achieve a complete vision of the issues of ecological seesaws. We will take advantage of this roaming to work remotely on the analysis of our collected data and the writing of an essay.

CHAPTER 4 - SHARING STORIES
From the end of 2025
This 3-year adventure will have allowed the collection and analysis of numerous life stories and testimonies of pioneers and organisations working for radical ecological breakthroughs.
Academic articles, studies, white papers, books, comics, conferences, podcasts... there are so many potential formats which could subsequently allow and guarantee a open to as many people as possible Kosmogonia learning keys.
