PUBLICATIONS & ACADEMIC CONTRIBUTIONS

Kosmogonia has always aimed to connect research and fieldwork, to build bridges between the social sciences and the levers of concrete transformation. We have been working towards this goal since 2023 with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, by writing scientific articles based on our extensive fieldwork and the data collected through 150 life story interviews.

The publication process is long, arduous, and sometimes discouraging. However, our collective work and patience have finally paid off. Since 2023, the team has co-authored three articles, two of which have already been published.

Article #1
When collectives committed to socio-ecological shifts play the role of incubators

Status : Published

Journal : Revue de l'Organisation Responsable (ROR)

This article examines the approaches of organizations that claim to contribute to societal shifts. Through life stories, it focuses on two such organizations that appear to play an incubator role for the transition: La Fresque du Climat and La Bascule.

This article was presented at a symposium during the RIODD congress in Lille in 2023 and 2024.

THE TWO HILLS MODEL

Status : Published

This model is the result of three years of extensive fieldwork in 10 Eurasian countries. A total of 150 pioneers were interviewed and shared their life stories, allowing us to formalize a synthetic model of the pathways to social and ecological change and engagement: the Two Hills. We have written a report on the subject.

This model was presented at the RIODD congress in Toulouse on October 9, 2025. A tour to present the results of this report is underway between the end of 2025 and throughout 2026, notably through workshops and conferences (see our formats)

Article #2
Why and how does transition activism spread?

Status : Submited

Journal : Journal of Business Ethics (JBE)

The article describes a three-step process (understanding the issues, recognizing the power to act, and taking action) that shapes ecological engagement. It also describes how certain organizational and ethical principles (non-hierarchical structure, collective responsibility, and the potential for spontaneous leadership) help members of these organizations focus more on spreading ecological engagement than on the survival of their structure or the exercise of their power, thus supporting the development of transition activism.

Article #2.jpg

Status : Published ✅

Journal : International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship (IJGE)

Recent voices are calling for a reconsideration of the myth of male power based on a one-dimensional vision of a dominant patriarchy in entrepreneurship. In a search for alternatives to hegemonic masculinities, this article explores the specific context of radical ecological and social transition to identify how entrepreneurship in this particular social environment challenges and shapes entrepreneurial masculinities.
